If you’d like to learn about campus life at Columbia Gorge Community College, there’s no time like the present.

Starting in June and continuing through Sept. 14, the college Student Services Department is hosting campus tours, staff introductions and other information for students considering summer or fall term enrollment. Three sessions are scheduled each month.

“This is for prospective students to get a thousand-foot view of what life might be like at CGCC,” said Mike Espinoza, vice president of student services.

There are 90-minute sessions, covering such topics as financial aid, the student residence hall and academic programs, all led by Student Services. People can sign up for an in-person option on The Dalles Campus, a virtual Zoom session, and an in-person session on the Hood River Campus.

Students will also gain a better understanding of the social framework of college – the network of peers and mentors who can help them on the path to academic success.
